Vote for Donna Allen for
School Trustee

On November 15, I ask you to support Donna Allen so that I can continue to be an advocate for good working and learning conditions.

I am a facilitator, a problem-solver, and I am action-oriented. I believe in “setting students up for success”.

If I am re-elected, one of my main goals would be to work to see the Board initiate and help develop a SD#68/Community Strategic Plan.

The Community is asking for input. I see a strong, sound SD 68/Community Strategic Plan being a major building block in supporting Public Education with “made in Nanaimo-Ladysmith” solutions.

In complicated economic times we must work together. We must focus on strategic thinking rather than crisis management. We must move from management to leadership.

On November 15th Vote Allen, Donna for School Trustee

Thank you.

Vote for Nelson Allen for
School Trustee

On Saturday November 15th I am asking for your support to be re-elected to the Nanaimo-Ladysmith Board of Education.

My three priorities in this election campaign are:

One: I have a vision of well-equipped safe schools that have adequate textbooks and supplies for our children to learn from. I see well-equipped libraries with qualified librarians working with students and teachers to bring the best educational experience to our children.

Two: I want to see the new Board adopt goals and objectives coming out of a Strategic Plan that reflects the cultural aspirations of our community. One of these goals should be the development of a relevant Facilities Plan based on authentic community input. This Facilities Plan would see the renovation of some existing schools and the completion of a new secondary school in an appropriate location.

Three: I have been working for over a decade to develop the school district site at the corner of Selby and Franklin streets into a joint use facility with other local governments. We need a school on that site for our alternate students. We need a commercial component and we need to work in co-operation with the City of Nanaimo to achieve this goal.

On November 15th, Vote for Allen, Nelson E.

Thank you.
